Jacqui Ison

BA (Hons.), FISTD, FIDTA, RAD (RTS) and Diploma

Jacqui trained at Bird College, Middlesex University and with the Alvin Ailey School and Jazz Tap Masters in New York.

Jacqui is a former professional dancer, having performed and choreographed for stage and television in both the UK and internationally. Today she runs her own theatre school and college offering part time and full time training in all forms of dance, singing, drama and musical theatre, as well as academic and vocational dance and drama studies, including Trinity College, London, and ISTD DDI and DDE teacher training qualifications.

Over the years, Jacqui has seen a number of her pupils progress into full time vocational training at leading colleges, some of whom are now teaching and performing professionally. She has also produced many winners for a number of prestigious national level competitions.

Jacqui is qualified in, and regularly teaches, all forms of dance. She is an RAD Registered Teacher and a Fellow of both the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing and the International Dance Teachers Association. She is honoured to be a dance adjudicator for both the British and International Federation of Festivals, All England Dance and the World Cup Dance Championship.
