Short Bite Size Courses

Our Short Bite Size Courses are open to boys and girls of all ages with little or no training at all, and, are suitable for anyone who wishes to develop their interest in dance and theatre performance, particularly for aspiring and talented individuals who might be considering full time training. The courses are taught by members of our highly regarded faculty together with professional artists.

If you enjoy all forms of dance, repertoire, theatre, singing, acting, costume, theatrical and film make-up then the Jacqui Ison School of Dance & Theatre Arts' Bite Size Experience is for you.

Our Easter bite size courses include Ballet Creative, West End Showstoppers and Under 10s Easter Festive Arts, Crafts and Disco. All classes are individually themed with the emphasis on fun! Make sure you keep your eyes open for the Easter Bunny!

Due to popular demand, Jacqui Ison School of Dance & Theatre Arts' renowned Dance by Design Summer School is now being offered on two separate weeks. The course allows youngsters from as young as 8 years to experience life at this leading performing arts college and to work with specialist teachers and choreographers in all forms of dance including jazz, ballet, contemporary, tap and musical theatre. The high energy, fun-packed course reaches its conclusion with a showcase of the week's work for parents and friends in our studio theatre.

For youngsters, who love to sing, dance, act and perform and not forgetting those aspiring young performers who hope to pursue a career in Musical Theatre; we deliver Master Classes in singing and drama with the course focussing on repertoire from West End productions taught by visiting artists from the relevant shows. This extremely popular course finishes with a sharing of work in our studio theatre for parents and friends.

Calling all Jazz dance lovers! This bite size course offers youngsters and teens the opportunity to hone their skills in many different styles of jazz dance. From street and commercial to more stylised and lyrical, this course has it all. Jazz-bites is a fast paced, exciting and fun course which keeps you on your toes and up to date with the latest trends. The course ends with an informal performance to family and friends in our studio theatre.

Focusing on classical ballet and contemporary dance, these courses are designed specifically for those with a particular passion for these dance genres. The courses are taught by our own expert teachers and visiting artists from professional companies who will also offer you an insight into the training and lifestyle of a classical and contemporary dancer. The classical and contemporary bite size courses concentrate on both technique and a selection of repertoire which will be performed to parents and friends in our studio theatre.
