 Music, Singing and Musical TheatreJacqui Ison Theatre Arts offers individual music tuition in singing, piano and music theory. Pupils are given the opportunity to take graded and vocational examinations in all three disciplines together with annual performance opportunities.

Classes incorporate all the essential skills needed for musical theatre performance which include - basic voice work
- acting
- singing
- dance
The content includes musical excerpts from popular shows, exploring the many styles of musical staging and performance required from large ensemble pieces, through to simple song and dance. |

Every lesson consists of a vocal warm-up, work on a repertoire (which may cover technique relevant to the individual), note learning and performance. Pupils are taught breathing technique, placement, diction, fluency, projection, intonation and variation of tone. Performance skills incorporating acting techniques, gesture and expression, visualisation, style and character work are all brough together to improve communication through song. |

This is taught using the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music's theory exercise books and practice examination papers to achieve that all important Grade 5 theory certificate. |
